2013 - 2014 School Year

Walkley Primary School will open on Tuesday 3rd September 2013 for the new school year.

Your financial support for our sponsored event to raise money for our library has astounded us. You have raised an astonishing £1,201.43 which will enable us to purchase a ‘house’ with storage, interior seating and twinkly lights. Work commences on the 25^th July with the library furniture to be fitted on the 7^th October. A grand opening will follow shortly afterwards. There is a photograph of the 'house' included on the letter that was sent home on the 19th July.  We are unable to upload the picture onto the Blog.

What a year it has been. We are so proud of our achievements and although we are looking forward to our break, we can’t wait to build on our success next year. Thank you for your support from an officially ‘Good’ school!!!

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Wallis on the birth of their son Alexander. We are so excited for them!

Easter Fun

A huge thank you to all of those parents who helped to organise the Easter Fun afternoon which was eventually held on Monday 25th March. It was our parents first venture and they managed to successfully raise a grand total of £516.27. The School Council will represent the pupils in school to decide how they would like to see the money spent.  Well done to all those that helped, donated or attended for the benefit of our children. Happy Easter everyone.
